Day 32 - Oct. 4th was a beautiful day to ride as the temperatures started in the 60's and climbed into the lower 90's. There were lots of up and down hills and curves all day on "Ranch Roads" which fortunately are very lightly traveled as the shoulder to ride on was not very large. Because of that I just ended up riding in the right side lane like a car! Out in this area all the drivers have been very polite and respectful to me as a bike rider.
Note: I am absolutely amazed at the number of small town banks there are in these tiny little towns. For example Leaky TX. (Pop. 337) had two banks in town...which I just don't understand? As you can see I have lots of time to think about things....
This area is called the Texas Hills Country and it is very beautiful with lots of rolling hills and trees. There is little population though....but in November that changes as deer season starts for 3 weeks. Many stores are preparing for the up coming season with deer corn, dear feeders, deer hunting towers, pig traps, bottle water and of course beer!
